BIOGRAPHY

Diveboy are an Indie pop band hailing from Cork via the west coast of Clare. Formerly known as The Burma - Tony O’Donovan, Peter Piggott and Cian Doherty recently relaunched as DIVEBOY.

To date, the band have released two top 5 Official Irish Albums, amassing over 450,000 streams worldwide.

Rolling Stone previously wrote about the band’s “glowing indie rock number that shows hints of influences such as The Killers”, and that ‘big indie rock sound’ still rings true of their music - while the trio also take inspiration from Manchester icons like The Smiths and Oasis.

Although the band have undergone a name change - Diveboy have stayed true to the sound that earned them two Top 5 Official Irish Albums, Five Homegrown Top 20 Singles, opening the acoustic stage at Glastonbury and huge special guests slots with Feeder, Kneecap, The Academic and many more.

Diveboy’s momentum is truly building towards the release of their highly anticipated new album in 2026 - produced by Grammy Winner Ruadhrí Cushnan (Ed Sheeran, Mumford and Sons, Shawn Mendes, George Michael).
